Tribute

This set of mourning brooches commemorates Lexie and Olive; my two companions who defined a chapter of my life.  Lexie and Olive had dedicated beds in my studio where they held court jointly and independently, making my art practice less lonely. I chose the format of cameo to pay homage to them. Their silhouettes are dark for mourning and their frames reference different historic styles that related to their specific narratives.
